The Best Cane Corso

How long does a cane corso live

Cane corso dogs typically live for 10 to 12 years. Cane corsos have a shorter lifespan compared to
other breeds due to their large size, making them age faster than smaller dogs.

Furthermore, they’re prone to various health problems, such as hip dysplasia, gastric torsion, and
epilepsy.

With that said, the overall life expectancy of a cane corso also depends on other factors, such as diet,
activity levels, training, and proper healthcare.

As mentioned, Cane Corsos usually live for around 10 to 12 years, but it is not that simple to calculate
the lifespan of a breed since within one breed there may be features that may lengthen or shorten
their lifespan.

The researchers found the average Cane Corso lifespan in their study was 9.29 years.

Research has shown that the lifespan of Cane Corso dogs can also depend on the color of the coat.
Average: gray: 9.00, black: 9.00, brown: 9.01, gray brindle: 9.84, brindle: 10.13, black brindle: 10.30
years.

According to the study, Cane Corsos with a black brindle coat color were most likely to have an
average lifespan that was the longest.

Gray and solid black were shown to have the shortest average lifespans in the study. Additionally,
there were no discernible differences between male and female Cane Corsos.
